What are Self-liquidating offers (SLOs)?

Recently there’s been some buzz about a free report that describes how someone is achieving wild success with PPC traffic and self-liquidating offers.

We all know PPC is Pay Per Click and this usually involves using Google Adwords.

SLO stands for Self Liquidating Offers. What this means is there’s a lead-loss or breakeven sales, or lead-loss/breakeven generator being used to get a buyer on your list.

It’s sometimes called lead-loss because you are willing to lose money to get the lead. You will spend about as much money to bring that customer to you and get the lead as they will spend with you. Sometimes you might even spend more money to get the lead than they will spend with you… at first.

Here’s an example that Internet Marketers could use to understand this better.

If I spend $17.00 in clicks to sell one copy of my $17.00 report, the IM Tookit, then I break even.

However, since I have a sales funnel set up, 1/15 of those buyers will became happy members of Marketers Relief.

They get step-by-step training, one-on-one coaching from me, hosting, assignment worksheets, automated linkbuilding service etc…

It is well worth my time and effort invested to get more happy members because they’re happy and loyal clients.

The more lead-loss generators you have working for you, the more happy and loyal customers you will have.

The example used in the report showed how a guy was selling something for COST on Ebay.

Conventional thinkers would have you believe that there’s no way you can make money this way.

However, you just got yourself a buyer, and you delivered something to him/her at a good price (AT YOUR COST) so they’re happy.

Offer them something related to what they purchased AT YOUR COST and there’s your profit.

And there’s the real goal: the beginning of your gold mine…a BUYER’s list…

There’s nothing new being done here, it’s kind of using the concept of lead-loss sales in conjunction with OTOs, (One-Time-Offers), only better, because at the very worst you break-even and end up with the all-important lead!
